Leap Changelog

Every feature, improvement, and fix we ship. Reverse chronological. Kept current, so when something changes in humanize or detect, it shows up here.

2026 updates

  • July 9, 2026, Improvement: Verifiable trust. The /about page now names the people behind Leap and tells the bootstrapped story straight, with a how we make money section whose numbers come from the same source checkout uses, so the copy cannot drift from the bill.
  • April 16, 2026, Feature: Per route OpenGraph images plus About and Changelog pages. Every major page now renders its own branded OG image for social previews, and this changelog is kept current going forward.
  • April 10, 2026, Feature: 100+ new content pages. A large expansion of the learn, blog, Turnitin, comparison, and alternative hubs covering every major detector and humanizer in the market, plus platform specific questions for Turnitin, Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle, and more.
  • April 2, 2026, Fix: Trailing whitespace edge case in detector input. Pasted text with trailing whitespace, common when copying from Notion or Google Docs, was being tokenized slightly differently than clean text, leading to small score variance between identical looking inputs. Input is now normalized.
  • April 1, 2026, Feature: Leap public launch. Leap went public with a free in-browser AI detector and a free in-browser humanizer cleanup pass. Not an April Fool's joke. Welcome.

What the tools do today

The detector runs entirely in your browser, free, with no account, and nothing you paste is sent anywhere. It scores text from 0 to 100 using writing signals such as uneven versus uniform sentence length, stock AI phrases, hedging and transition words, em dash density, and repetition, and it highlights the sentences that weigh most. The humanizer is a free in-browser cleanup pass. It replaces stock AI phrases, removes em dashes and invisible characters, adds contractions, and marks sentences of uniform length so you can vary them yourself. It does not guarantee passing any detector.

A note on scores

An AI score is a signal, not proof. Any detector can be wrong in either direction, so a score from Leap or any other tool must never be the only basis for accusing anyone of using AI.
