How a price works

Every step priced before it runs.

A real piece, replayed: Nano Banana Pro makes the still, then FLUX.3 Video brings it to life. Each run shows its price before it starts, and the receipt matches.

Questions

The small print, in plain words.

Do I need a card to start?
Not to sign up or look around, and your first image in the studio is free, such as a headshot or a picture from your own words. Anything after that needs credit, which you add with a card from $5. Your first top-up has no card fee.
Is there a subscription?
No. You add credit to a balance in dollars and spend it as you go, with no monthly reset. The Unlimited Images pass is prepaid too: $9 for 7 days, and it doesn't renew unless you renew it.
How unlimited is the Unlimited Images pass?
While it's on, Nano Banana 2 at 1K costs nothing, up to 25 images a day and 2 runs at a time. Past that, runs are paid as usual, and the studio tells you before you press Generate. Other models, other sizes and recipes are priced as always: a recipe is priced on what it makes, often across several models, so the pass can't cover it.
How is a model priced?
At the provider's list price plus our margin, per image, per second of video or per thousand characters of speech, the same in the studio and the API. The margin is 35% on images, voice and most video, and less on the dearest video, down to about 25% on Veo 3.1. It pays for card fees, failed runs we absorb and bonus credit. Each model's page shows its exact price.
What if a run fails?
It costs nothing. Only a run that succeeds is charged.
What does adding credit cost?
Your first top-up has no fee, so $5 costs $5.00. After it, a top-up under $20 has a card fee of 5.5%, shown before you pay and not taken from your balance; $20 and up has none. Top-ups run from $5 to $10,000.
Does the API cost more?
No. The studio, the API and your agents spend the same balance at the same prices. API keys run on paid credit, so a key's first call needs a top-up.

Your first top-up has no card fee.

Top up $10 or more within 48 hours of signing up and you get a $5 bonus for recipes. Every run shows its price before it starts.
